| On the Ponte Vecchio |
Today we did a lot of walking. After breakfast we played cards a little before it was time to go.
We walked across a bridge and met Grandma and D-Daddy on the other side for a really yummy lunch. I had pesto! Then we walked to a plaza and sat down for a bit to look at some statues. The cool thing about the statues was that they were made even before Colombus came to America.

Then we walked to the Boboli Gardens and sat there under the shade for a while. We sat in a little grassy area that had a great view of the city. We could see the Duomo, the Clock Tower and all the mountains and hills surrounding the city.
After that we walked to the grocery store to get something for dinner. We got potato salad, pasta salad, sun dried tomatoes, bread, cheese, wine, sodas and little lemon cookies for desert. Then we walked up to Plaza Michelangelo and ate. After we finished eating we stayed for a while to watch the sun set. It was gorgeous.
Florence isn't very polluted at all so the sunset was mostly natural colors which made it even more spectacular. Then we walked back down the hill and all the way to the hotel. I was so tired that I fell asleep right before my head even hit the pillow.
