Venice
Thank goodness that our flight on the way back isn't until next month!! So once we got off the flight a mini-bus took us to the train station. Our Rome train was late so we had to wait 2 hours before we caught the train to Florence. Since the Rome train was delayed we had to take a different Florence train since we missed the first one. The Florence to Venice train was also delayed so when we got to the Venice train station we had missed our guide to pick us up and go to the hotel. That's when all the hecticness ended.
We caught a water taxi to go to our hotel but since D-daddy gave him the wrong address we took a detour. The detour was very nice and we got to see some places that weren't filled with tourists. After moving into our rooms we asked the concierge for a recommendation on a place to eat. Dinner was excellent! We decided that we needed some gelato and
walked down the main street to get it. It was a great time to walk, very cool, not many people around but vendors were still open.
Then back to the hotel for a good night's sleep!
