Praiano

Dad woke me up at 8:30 so I had some time to shower and pack and get ready before the train left for La Spezia. Unfortunately, we were still pretty rushed. I had a tiny breakfast at the train station. The train came at 9:30, which was a little late. The ride barely lasted minutes, and soon enough we were in La Spezia.

Meghan and I went to the office to look to look for pins, but there were none. But there were computers that only cost 1,50 euros for twenty minutes. We asked for Mom's permission, and she said yes. I also got a pack of cards, because the old ones were really beaten up because we played with them so much. Anyway, Meghan and I really wanted to check our email, so that's basically what we did. We stayed on it until Mom came rushing in and told us that the train was there. We said thank you to the lady who owned the office and left quickly. We had ordered first class seats, because if we had ordered second class we would have had to stand up, which nobody wanted to do on a four hour train ride. It was kind of boring, but okay.

We got off the train in Salerno, which wasn't very far from the place we were staying, but kind of far. We took a bus from Salerno to Amalfi. The bus was really late, but we were patient. I felt really sick when I got off the bus because I had been reading on the windy curves in the road. In Amalfi, we looked at the bus schedule, but the next bus didn't come until way later. So we took a taxi. The guy who drove it was really nice. He showed us all of the good spots where we should go swimming.

We met the lady who owned the apartment in front of a supermarket. While we waited we got a bunch of food for eating at the apartment. Renee (the lady who owned the apartment) was nice, but I didn't talk to her much, because I was so tired. I was also really hungry, because all we had for dinner was a quarter of a really tiny pizza on the bus to Amalfi. Dad and I both had a bowl of cereal, and then I zonked out.
