Barbara got her big wish of a gondola ride with her grandchildren with the rest of us following closely behind in a second gondola.... singing happy birthday to Helen.
We split up after lunch - Debby and I getting to wander alone through the back streets for about 5 hours of walking, shopping, tasting gelato and sipping beer. We also took in the Palazzo Duccale, attached prison and crossed through the Ponte dei Sospiri (Bridge of Sighs). Great day followed by a great dinner celebration of Helen's Birthday - even had the accordion serenade that included "Happy Birthday to You"
